Conflicting Reports About Fate Of Cecil The Lion's Brother
A park official said the lion, which had been looking after Cecil’s cubs, was killed on Saturday. But other conservationists said the lion named Jericho was OK.
Following last month's death of a beloved Zimbabwean lion named Cecil, which outraged many around the world, fears emerged that Cecil's brother was also shot and killed by a hunter on Saturday.

In a Facebook post, the Zimbabwe Conservation Task Force announced "with huge disgust and sadness" the death of Jericho the lion.
Johnny Rodrigues, head of the Zimbabwe Conservation Task Force, told BuzzFeed News that the lion was shot dead by a hunter.
CNN reported the hunter had been operating illegally.
