Pokémon characters show their love for sakura with cute new cherry blossom merchandise

Pokémon can now be caught frolicking in sakura-filled springtime scenes on tableware, stationery and beauty products.

With the sunlight hours finally getting longer in Japan, and plum blossoms already appearing on the trees, people’s minds are gradually turning towards the warmer months of spring. The season is synonymous with cherry blossoms, and stores like the Pokémon Center are eager to showcase their sakura goods for customers, so let’s take a look at all the cute items available in tis year’s Sakura-themed Pokémon range!

▼ There are two resin cups featuring a loved-up pair of Pikachu which retail for 520 yen (US$4.43) each.

▼ Four pink-hued resin plates, which come in a set of two for 1,000 yen.

▼ Two different sets of square-shaped and bookmark-type sticky notes for 400 yen each.

▼ Puffy Pokémon stickers, which retail for 700 yen per sheet.

The items went on sale at Pokémon stores online and around the country from New Year’s Day and will be available for a limited time until the end of spring.
