Remind yourself to drink water with this conch seashell PET bottle cover

Stay hydrated with the help of a seashell.

If you’re looking for a product that’s both practical and hilarious, Japanese brand You+More! has you covered. In the past, they’ve brought smiles to our faces with creative items like Shiba Inu Sunshades and the fried prawn wearable sleeping bag, and now they’re back with a brand new product that’s here to help us with hydration.

Called the Conch Shell PET Bottle Case, the new item is filled with lots of small details to help it look just like a real giant seashell. And when you slide a bottle of drink inside it, you’ll look like you’re blowing into the shell and calling out to the wild every time you take a sip.

The case has been carefully stitched to give it the same distinctive curves and ridges as a real conch, while the printed fabric replicates the pattern of the shell perfectly.

The inside is lined with insulated sheeting, to ensure your drink stays hot or cold, depending on the season.

The case is finished off with a gorgeous carabiner and red cord accessory, so you can attach it to your clothing like a hydration warrior. And if Aquaman needs any help summoning the fearsome part-crab part-octopus sea creature Topo, you’ll be at the ready with your own version of the superhero’s mystical Atantean conch.

The idea for the unusual PET bottle cover comes from Sekonao, a plush toy designer and pattern maker who has a creative eye for designing new and unusual goods. Once she had the idea for the conch case, she made one herself, catching the eye of You+More’s team with her original prototype.

Working together to improve on the original design, the new Conch Shell PET Bottle Case was born.

The eye-catching cover is currently available to purchase online for 3,672 yen (US$33.20). The fun concept is a great way to encourage people to stay hydrated throughout the day, but you might want to refrain from using it if you’re a Japanese policeman on duty, as water is a big no-no for them, whether it’s from an American soldier or out of a plush conch shell.
