Limited edition Sailor Moon Exhibit tickets with bonus “Small Lady Set” now on sale!
Sailor Moon fans looking forward to the upcoming art exhibit at Roppongi Hills now have more to be excited about: limited edition tickets with extra goodies!
We’re sure fans of the pretty guardians are already filled with anticipation for the Sailor Moon exhibition to be held at the Tokyo City View Observation Deck Sky Gallery in Roppongi Hills starting April 16. Now they can get premium advance tickets that come with a bonus “Small Lady Set”, while supplies last, of course.
The Small Lady Set, which should be a delight for any follower of the series, is actually a recreation of a gift package that was given to readers of Nakayoshi magazine back when Sailor Moon was being serialized in the monthly girls’ publication. At the time, readers of Nakayoshi who bought the 1993 September and October editions of the magazine were able to enter a Sailor Moon gift set giveaway, and everyone who submitted an entry received a “Small Lady Set” that included a Space-Time Key pendant, a heart-shaped mirror, and a Chibiusa pouch. The giveaway was a huge hit, attracting over 700,000 entries — that’s a lot of gift sets they gave away!
▼ Here’s the new Small Lady Set recreated for this exhibit, which includes the Secret Key Pendant in the shape of Chibiusa’s Space-Time Key, the Magical Mirror Key Holder, and the Chibiusa Power Up Pouch. It should offer a good bit of nostalgia to long time fans!
The limited edition tickets with the Small Lady Set are available from the official Sailor Moon Exhibition website, as well as ticketing services Lawson Ticket and Seven Ticket, for 2,800 yen (US$25). The ticket will also include entry to the Mori Museum on the building’s 52nd Floor.
If you’re not interested in the Small Lady Set, there are also special advance tickets available from the exhibit’s official website and Lawson Ticket. For these, you’ll be able to choose the design of the ticket itself from the illustrations on the covers of the first five volumes of the newly republished Sailor Moon comics. The advance tickets are priced at 1,800 yen for adults, 1,200 yen for high school and university students, 600 yen for children from age four to junior high school, and 1,500 yen for seniors (65 and above).
They’ve also announced that they will be selling a special Sailor Moon design Annual Passport for unlimited entry to the Mori Museum and Tokyo City View Observation Deck for one year. Fans may also be interested to know that the original color art work by Naoko Takeuchi on display will change twice during the exhibit (for purposes of protecting the material), dividing the exhibition into three phases, the first from April 16 to May 8, the second from May 9 to May 29 and the third and final phase from May 30 to June 19. The adjacent Museum Cafe and Restaurant will also be collaborating with the exhibit, so you can also look forward to special Sailor Moon-themed drinks and sweets as well.
It looks like there’s plenty of reason to pay a visit to the exhibit, possibly more than once if you’re a devoted fan. We hope everyone who goes has a wonderful time enjoying the beautiful artwork by Takeuchi and also all the Sailor Moon memorabilia scheduled to be displayed!
