Artist shows what Pokémon Go would look like if the monsters were actually pin-up models

From Squirtle to Jigglypuff and Lickitung, now you can see what your favourite character would look like as a PokéGirl pin-up model!

With the world currently focusing its gaze firmly on the pursuit of characters from the augmented reality mobile game Pokémon Go, there’s never been a better time to indulge in a bit of fan art dedicated to the popular Japanese franchise. This spectacular collection, by Andrew Tarusov, a Russian artist based in Los Angeles, California, depicts famous characters from the game as pin-up models, located against real-world backgrounds, just as they would appear if they were inside the augmented reality world of the game. After seeing Andrew’s take on the creatures, you won’t ever be able to see your favourite characters the same way again!

Snorlax looks decidedly more svelte than usual in pin-up form, pictured here taking a nap by the side of the road.

Charmander, on the other hand, looks just as fiery as her reptilian counterpart in the game.

Psyduck is adorable as she pops up inside a trash can out on the street.

Eevee is uncovered in a trainer’s bedroom.

Horsea hangs out in the spa.

Lickitung prefers to hang out in the shower.

Squirtle makes blue skin look good by the pool.

And Ivysaur is caught blooming in the garden.

Slowpoke picks up the speed in a flashy sports car.

And Jigglypuff turns up in the most unusual of places!

Vulpix would cause an absolute mess on the roads if it really popped up on the screen like this in the game!

While the star of the show, Pikachu, waits to be discovered in a local park.

With all the mayhem surrounding the search for cute Pokémon characters on the streets, we’re certainly glad the augmented reality game doesn’t have a cast that looks like this. Imagine the chaos that would cause!
