Trump Hopes Ivanka Would ‘Find Another Career’ If She Got Sexually Harassed

In the least shocking news you’ll hear all day, Donald Trump has said something sexist yet again.

But this time, his daughter was involved.

So, does that make it worse? Yeah, probably.

When asked what his daughter, Ivanka, would do if she was sexually harassed in the workplace, Donald Trump told Fox News contributor and USA Today columnist Kirsten Powers in an interview published Monday,

I would like to think she would find another career or find another company if that was the case.

If you’re not picking up on why that’s weird, let me tell you.

Donald Trump wouldn’t encourage his DAUGHTER to press charges if she were ever put in that situation. He didn’t even say anything about condemning the person who sexually harassed his daughter.

No, instead, he encourages her to just sort of sweep it under the rug and make a career switch without ever even trying to seek justice.

The comments obviously weren’t well-received by human beings with any sort of moral compass. But don’t worry, guys; Donald’s son, Eric, has his back.

When asked by Charlie Rose on “CBS This Morning” whether he thinks his father could have maybe answered Powers’ question a little bit better, Eric stood by his dad’s comments.

He started off by making it clear sexual harassment in the workplace is “an absolute no-go anywhere.”

Thank GOD he cleared that one up for us.

Then — and this is where things become cringeworthy, so don’t say I didn’t warn you — he decided to elaborate on his dad’s comments:

I think what he’s saying is, Ivanka is a strong, powerful woman, she wouldn’t allow herself to be objected to it, and by the way, you should take it up with Human Resources, and I think she would as a strong person, at the same time, I don’t think she would allow herself to be subjected to that. I think that’s a point he was making, and I think he did so well.

Oh, so, sexual harassment only happens to weak women. Right, I forgot about that.
