Why Wasn't Taylor Swift's 'Reputation' Nominated For A 2018 Grammy? Fans Are Mad

It's about that time, people! The 2018 Grammy nominations are here and we finally get to see who has the chance to win big when the show airs in January. Artists like JAY-Z, Kendrick Lamar, and even Justin Bieber are on the list of nominees, but fans are upset that one big star is missing: Taylor Swift. Why wasn't Reputation nominated for a Grammy? The answer is pretty simple.

Now, before you go flipping your lid, don't worry – Taylor Swift was still nominated for two Grammys. She's nominated for Best Country Song with Little Big Town for "Better Man," where she served as a writer. She also is nominated for Best Song Written For Visual Media with Zayn Malik for "I Don't Wanna Live Forever." So, we could definitely still see Swifty at the show (and maybe a performance? Just putting that out there!)

As for Reputation, as we all know, Swift dropped her highly-anticipated sixth studio album earlier this month on Nov. 10, 2017. According to the 60th Annual Grammy Awards website, the 2018 show will honor music released from Oct. 1, 2016 to Sept. 30, 2017. So, there you have it – Reputation just wasn't eligible this year.

More to come...
