Japanese love doll exhibition opens in Tokyo, with nipple-poured “love juice” for visitors 【NSFW】

Japan’s premier producer of love dolls celebrates 40th anniversary with unique details and an “experience corner” for visitors.

While we’ve read about human-like sex dolls and seen images of them online, many of us will probably never have the chance to look at or touch one of the eerily realistic-looking models in real life.

Now, for a limited time in Tokyo, Orient Industry, Japan’s premier producer of love dolls and the company responsible for coining the term itself – will be giving everyone the opportunity to take a peek into the secret world, with a new exhibition to mark the company’s 40th anniversary.

The exhibition will contain both photos and real dolls, documenting the company’s progression from early prototypes produced in the ’80s and ’90s, through to their first silicon-mould “Jewel” series of dolls in 2001 and the even more realistic “Jewel Real Taste” series produced in 2011.

With their increasingly realistic features and soft silicon casing giving them a very authentic skin feel, Orient Industry dolls can also be posed freely, which helps to make them as lifelike as possible. In order to see exactly how real they can be, the company has set up an “experience corner” at the exhibition, and while they’re quiet on details, we’re expecting it to involve (non-sexual) touching and posing with the dolls for photos, in a similar way to the experience corner at their previous exhibition held in 2014.

Another highlight of the event will be the chance to drink “Love Juice” poured from the nipple of a talking “Party Doll“. Anticipating high demand for the juice, the company warns that there may be a long wait in line to try the freshly poured drink.

In addition to the exhibition, Orient Industry is also celebrating their milestone anniversary with the release of a new official love doll photo book called “Synthetic Lady Art Gallery Jewel” on May 27. Visitors to the exhibition will also be able to purchase another photo book called “Love Doll×Shinoyama Kishin“, featuring images designed to highlight the realistic features of Orient Industry dolls, encouraging viewers to see them as real women rather than sex dolls.

Take a look at the promotional video for the book below:

One of the aims of Orient Industry has always been to shift the focus of these dolls away from the taboo world of sex by highlighting their alternate purpose as cute companions. Their new exhibition is another step for the company towards making this a more achievable reality.
