If you're a How I Met Your Mother fan, you probably remember Tracy's beautiful rendition of "La Vie En Rose" from the Season 9 episode "How Your Mother Met Me."
Future Ted tells his kids, "I must've heard your mom's rendition of 'La Vie En Rose' a million times over the years, every night when she tucked you in, for instance. But that performance, that first night I ever heard her sing, that one will always be my favorite."

In Season 1 (!!!), Episode 11, "The Limo," the gang spends New Year's Eve in a limo Ted rented. Derek, Robin's date, bails on her. To cheer her up, Ted says he'll be her midnight kiss.

But Derek shows up to kiss Robin at the last minute. Disappointed, Ted gets out of the limo.
"You probably want to feel bad for your old man at this point in the story," narrates Future Ted. "Well, don't. Not every night has a happy ending. But all of it's important."
