Vacation is the perfect excuse to give your hair a little break from heat styling. Hydration + repair should be the mane focus when you’ve got down-time! Just landed on the magical island of Kauaii a few days ago and swiped some bottles of beachy goodness from the TBD beauty closet on the way out (Thanks Kristin!). Playing around with 5 bottles, using each one solo but also using some cocktailed together! See below for the breakdown. (And for those of you wondering, I air dried using number 1 + 5 together in the photo above!)

1 .  Nourishing Hair Oil – Mostly coating my hair with this before I jump in the ocean. I find that coating your hair with an oil before taking a dip really helps. The hair soaks up the first thing it touches the most, so best to coat your hair in something before hopping into salt water.
2. Tropical Hair Treatment – This treatment is one of my favs! (Let’s be honest, the coconut scent fully reeled me in.) It repairs, strengthens, moisturizes and replenishes your hair, while protecting it from damage that may be caused by the sun, ocean water or chlorine! You can layer it throughout your day as needed but you can also wear it as an overnight treatment, which is pretty cool.
3. Mythic Oil – This is more of a creamy oil. It’s great for anyone who needs weight to their hair. My hair tends to air dry pretty “wide” so I use it to keep the silhouette of my hair a bit more narrow.
4. Finishing Spray – Dry oil sprays are interesting. They’re fairly weightless but extremely shiny. Sometimes when I swim in salt water and come out, I like the way it air dries but sometimes it’s a little too matte from the salt. If I want to give it a little shine but keep the texture from the salt water, I use a light veil of this to get the best of both worlds.
5. No Frizz Leave-in Conditioner – Loving this one for blowouts here in Hawaii. I’m actually here for a wedding so this has been great for anyone who wants a blowout with no frizz because this leave-in also blocks humidity. But since the point of this post is to drop those hair-stressin’ hot tools, forget I mentioned it. Ha! I’ve been into mixing this one with the Oribe Nourishing Hair Oil. Amazing combo!
