Extra padding and new material make a compelling argument for spending the entire day in the prone position.

The folks at Japan’s Bibi Lab are inarguably nutty. What they’re most definitely not, though, is lazy.

Sure, the company specializes in zany housewares and clothing, but makes regular improvements to its products. Recently, it revamped its Cotton Wife body pillows, and now its time for Bibi Lab’s Sandwiched Between Twintails Pillow to get some upgrades.

Originally released two years ago, the Sandwiched Between Pigtails Pillow is a two-pronged, U-shaped huggy pillow.

The versatile design allows the item to be used in a number of ways, including as a pillow for your head, cushion, or even a sofa-like reclining pad.

Priced at 11,000 yen (US$95) and 150 centimeters (59 inches) long, the new version is the same length as the original. Instead of fleece, though, the updated item is covered in a smooth, breathable spandex covering, which the manufacturer promises will feel soft and pleasant against your skin.

▼ The covering is also static electricity-resistant, so bust out as many electronic devices as you like while relaxing with it.

Bibi Lab also boasts that the new pillow is extra cozy, as its added an extra 400 grams (14,1 ounces) of cushioning material, bringing the product’s total weight to 3.6 kilograms (7.92 pounds).

Being so heavy, odds are it’ll require a bit of physical exertion the first time you’re deciding where to put the pillow in your home. On the bright side, once you get it situated, you’ll have a perfect place to lie down and relax for a few, or more likely many, minutes.
