These tiny toys take all your fave ‘Mons and turn them into cute spinning peanuts!

Do you know Coo’Nuts? They’re small toys that get their name from the Japanese word for spinning, kurukuru, though of course it has more impact when you write it like the English word “cool”. The second part comes from their shape: Coo’Nuts takes all manner of characters from PreCure, Snoopy and Marvel comics and smushes them down into an adorable colorful peanut shape!

As of February 11 a new series of Coo’Nuts will be wobbling on to shelves: the brand is revisiting the Pokémon franchise for a second time, and there’ll be 16 adorable kinds to catch for your own!

▼ Left to right: Pikachu (winking), Eevee (shiny-eyed), Psyduck, Clefairy, Togepi, Vaporeon, Flareon, Jolteon
Espeon, Umbreon, Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Torchic, Pachirisu, Emolga, Dedenne

Coo’Nuts stand about 4.3 centimeters (1.7 inches) tall. Due to a weighted ball in the base they can wobble and tip around without falling over, making them great fidget toys. Even if you don’t want to play with them, though, you can use them to brighten your desk or jazz up your Instagram snaps.

The toys can be purchased from most convenience stores and will only set you back 200 yen (US$1.79) plus tax per packet, though of course that number skyrockets if you’re eager to add all 16 to your Pokédex since the exact character you get is random. Still, imagine the scenes you could put together with an army of Clefairy peanuts, or a wave of wobbling, winking Pikachus!

Much like the Pokémon Kids re-issue from last year, these cute convenience store toys will only last as long as it takes for kids and adults to buy them up. If you’re already at the store to pre-order your copy of the Sword and Shield instalments, why not buy a few packet of peanuts to tide you over?
