One artist’s crossover artwork featuring the Sailor Scouts in Saint Seika-style costumes is currently going viral—and it’s easy to see why!

For anime and manga fans who grew up in the 90s, Saint Seiya and Sailor Moon were two of the biggest series to appear on Western TV sets.

Centering on the battles of five magical, celestial warriors, and combining anime-style storytelling with Greek and Roman mythology, on the surface there were numerous similarities between the two, not to mention the fact that the anime adaptations of both series were handled by Toei Animation.

Because of this, it’s no surprise that many fans considered the series ideal for pairing off the main characters of each to make the perfect crossover, but it wasn’t until recently that one Brazilian artist on DeviantArt decided to take the concept to a new level by creating Saint Seiya-inspired costumes for each of the inner Sailor Scouts.

Each beautifully drawn piece was created by Alan Garcia, and it’s no surprise that they went viral soon after being uploaded. They were even featured on the Brazilian online anime mash-up battle site Anime All-Stars Game, along with multiple other anime and Sailor Moon crossovers portraits by Garcia that we encourage you to check out here.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a real cross-over without showing the Saint Seiya characters in sailor suits, and hey, we’re not ones to leave you all hanging.
